Types of Therapy Offered:

Our program integrates both art therapy and music therapy to offer a multifaceted approach to creative expression and emotional well-being.

Art Therapy: Participants will engage in diverse art-based activities such as painting and drawing. Through these mediums, individuals can explore and process emotions, narratives, and personal experiences in a visual and tangible manner. Art therapy promotes self-expression, self-awareness, and emotional resilience.

Music Therapy: Our program includes techniques like group drumming, vocal exercises, and collaborative songwriting. Music therapy facilitates connection, communication, and emotional release through rhythmic and melodic expression. Participants engage in music-making activities that encourage creativity, social interaction, and relaxation, promoting holistic well-being.

Integrated Approach: We will integrate artworks and songs, fostering mental health through interactive discussions and therapeutic engagement. Participants will create visual artworks inspired by music and engage in guided discussions exploring emotional and mental health themes depicted in their creations. This approach aims to deepen understanding, facilitate expression, and promote mental well-being through artistic exploration and dialogue.

Target Group:

The program targets Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and adults, prioritizing vulnerable and underserved populations within the Hawkesbury, Nepean & Blue Mountains region.
